1. INTRODUCTION of Thrust Load Monitoring System
The Thrust Monitor System (TMS) is a Real Time data measuring system dedicated for rotary equipment using antifriction (spherical roller bearings) on the support rollers, such as: dryers, coolers, calciners, breakers, crushers granulators, rock washers, debarking drums etc. to detect thrust force abnormalities during operation, which can lead to mechanical failures or excessive wear of components (bearings, running surface of tires and support rollers). The main objective is to detect an excessive axial force generated by the rollers at a very early stage, monitor this force and initiate a corrective action.
With the use of high precision thrust sensors, TMS as a permanent installation becomes a complete alignment and bearing condition monitoring system, which offers many advantages:
